Where you sleep

Eight rooms and suites, every one facing the Aegean

Maison Meltem offers three ways to sleep above the bay of Agia Pelagia, every one of them turned towards the Aegean. The six independent 33 m² suites occupy a building separate from the hosts’ villa, partly set into the Cretan hillside. Each has its own terrace and private infinity pool. In the hosts’ villa, the 21 m² panoramic room is on the ground floor and the 40 m² studio is at garden level, each with its own entrance.

Eight rooms and suites in all. The Cretan breakfast is included in every one, and Starlink wifi is available in every room and throughout the grounds. The rest of the house — the guests’ pool and its bar, the sunken lounge and its fire pit, the hot tub, the yoga space, the fitness room and the Finnish sauna — stays open whichever room you choose.

In every room

Whichever room you book, breakfast is included and served every morning in the shade of the olive trees, facing the sea: a Cretan and continental buffet, plus a few à la carte options. In the evening Giannis, host and chef trained in Mediterranean cooking, with a spell at the Institut Paul Bocuse, serves a single Cretan set menu on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only, by reservation; there is no lunch service.

The fitness room is open from 8 am to 8 pm, the Finnish sauna from October to May on request, and massages are booked on site. The house is for adults only. Rooms are available from 3 pm, with check-out before 11 am. You can arrive at any time of day or night. Giannis or Olivier will welcome you, or you can self-check in; arrange this with us in advance. Rates and availability for each room can be checked live on our booking engine.
